Our SEND Approach
We follow the SEND Code of Practice (2015) to ensure that children with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they require. We work in close partnership with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
Identifying and Supporting SEND
We use a graduated approach to identify and support children with SEND, which includes:
- Assess: Identifying children who may need additional support.
- Plan: Developing individual strategies and interventions.
- Do: Implementing tailored support within the classroom and through additional interventions.
- Review: Monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
Types of SEND We Support
We support children with a wide range of special educational needs, including:
- Communication and Interaction (e.g., Speech and Language difficulties, autism spectrum disorder)
- Cognition and Learning (e.g., Dyslexia, Moderate Learning Difficulties)
- Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (e.g., ADHD, Anxiety)
- Sensory and Physical Needs (e.g., sensory processing disorder)
Working with Families

Parents and carers are encouraged to discuss any concerns with their child's class teacher or directly with the SENCO. We hold regular review meetings and provide opportunities for parents to be involved in their child's learning journey.

We work closely with external professionals, including:
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Educational Psychologists
- Occupational Therapists
- Specialist Teaching Services
